General Clubs

Fond du Lac County

Fond du Lac ARC

The Fond du Lac ARC welcomes everyone who is interested in amateur radio. Our club has many members who are able and willing to help newcomers to our great hobby. We provide assistance to those looking to earn a license with individual mentoring and training classes. Some of our Club's members work at actively preparing for natural and man-made disasters. We do this by practicing message handling on local and regional ham radio networks; and by providing communications support for area events, such as parades, walks, triathlons and bicycle races.

Miller Valley ARC

Originally part of a Boy Scout troop, Miller Valley ARC developed into a weekly discussion group of amateur radio operators. Most meetings consist of an open discussion about what people did recently with ham radio, talking about upcoming projects that people are planning, and drawing from everyones’ experience to troubleshoot challenges someone is having.

Milwaukee Radio Amateurs' Club

The Milwaukee Radio Amateurs' Club is one of the oldest, continuously operating amateur radio clubs in the world, having been incorporated in 1917 and affiliated 101 years with the ARRL (The national association for Amateur Radio) since 1919.

South Milwaukee Radio Amateurs Club

The South Milwaukee Amateur Radio Club is an ARRL general-purpose affiliated club with Hams from all interest groups. We have both licensed and unlicensed members. New members are always welcome, existing ‘ham’ or not. South Milwaukee is a southern suburb of Milwaukee, WI. Our club meets monthly on the first Wednesday of each month. Visitors are always welcome!

West Allis Radio Amateur Club

The West Allis Radio Amateur Club (“WARAC”) was founded in 1954 by hams in West Allis, Wisconsin and the southwest suburban area of Milwaukee. Today the club has active members from all parts of the Metropolitan Milwaukee area. From its beginning, the club has been dedicated to public service and to the training of new hams. WARAC has long been affiliated with the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). WARAC participates in Field Day and other Ham Radio-related events like Parks on The Air.

Ozaukee County

Ozaukee Radio Club

The Ozaukee Radio Club draws its members from not only Ozaukee County but from all of the surrounding counties as well. The prime interest drawing the members together is Amateur Radio and community service. The diverse membership is comprised of all age groups as well as technical vocations. The Club operates radio repeaters on the 144, 220 and the 440 MHz bands. Family members are welcome and actively participate.

Racine Megacycle Club

Founded in 1947, the Racine Megacycle Club is one of the oldest Amateur Radio clubs in Wisconsin. the purposes of this club are to promote knowledge of Amateur Radio, to exchange information and cooperation among members, to conduct club programs and activities which advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio in Southeastern Wisconsin, and to provide public service to the people of Southeastern Wisconsin.

Walworth County

Lakes Area ARC

Lakes Area ARC is a small but active ham radio club in the Walworth County area of Southern Wisconsin. We own and maintain the repeater on 146.865 located in Elkhorn, WI. The output power is about 15 watts into a vertical antenna at 290 feet on the public safety tower in downtown Elkhorn.

Washington County

Washington County Amateur Radio Club

The Washington County ARC is a small group of radio amateurs from Washington County and surrounding areas. We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Town of Polk town hall at 7:00 PM. Our repeater is located in St. Lawrence.

Wisconsin ARC

The Wisconsin ARC has been in existence for many years in the Germantown/Menomonee Falls area of Southeast Wisconsin. Formerly known as the Falls Radio Club, we have expanded our reach in recent years with our new name, new club call sign (W9CQ), and a renewed focus on the technical and historical aspects of Amateur Radio and Communications. We have broadened our horizons without losing our focus on providing emergency services to the Germantown Police Department and Froedtert Community Memorial Hospital.

Greater Milwaukee DX Association

The Greater Milwaukee DX Association is an Amateur Radio Club that promotes DXing through common interest, comradery and assistance between members, and through the financial support of DXpeditions. Membership requires a DXCC certificate or proof of twenty-five confirmed countries, though DXers not eligible for membership may attend meetings if sponsored by a Full Member.

Milwaukee Area Amateur Radio Society

The Milwaukee Area Amateur Radio Society (MAARS) operates the largest coverage 2-meter repeater in Southeastern Wisconsin. Our goal is to expand and maintain our repeater system to the highest level possible. While this isn’t always easy, we have continued to maintain a system that hasn’t been duplicated in the area. MAARS has always tried to be the leader in the area of technology. Our repeater was the first to have a remote receive site. We also were the first VHF repeater to install a remote base for both VHF and UHF. We are the backbone repeater for the National Weather Service reporting network for Southeastern Wisconsin.

Milwaukee Area Digital Operators Group

The Milwaukee Area Digital Operators Group repeater system (KC9LKZ) is a fully functional system with a D-STAR gateway. We hope that you enjoy the system and join in on the various D-STAR nets that take place.

Milwaukee Repeater Club

Also known as “The 91,” the Milwaukee Repeater Club encourages the new, as well as the seasoned Amateur Radio operator, to make use of our repeater system. The Milwaukee Repeater is an open repeater that welcomes newcomers. Stop by and visit us while in the greater Milwaukee area. Our nickname is “The Friendly One” because we try very hard to make the 146.91 a great place for hams to meet their friends and to make new ones.

Lakeshore Repeater Association

The Lakeshore Repeater Association has been organized since 1975. We are dedicated to providing local area Hams in SE WI and NE IL with excellent repeater coverage on both analog and digital DMR modes.

Waukesha County

Southeastern Wisconsin FM Amateur Repeater Society

Successful volunteer services rely on a solid, multi-faceted communications environment. The communications methods available in the Amateur Radio Service have the flexibility to serve the needs of volunteer services in a variety of scenarios including, but not limited to, support for civic events, support for information service providers and support of public service entities. The Southeastern Wisconsin FM Amateur Repeater Society (SEWFARS) supports these efforts by providing high quality, reliable Amateur Radio communications resources for volunteer services and general Radio Amateur use by providing an environment that supports growth and interest in the Amateur Radio Service in Southern Wisconsin.

Milwaukee Area Skywarn Association

The Milwaukee Area Skywarn Association mission is to lessen the burden of the National Weather Service (NWS) essential severe weather training and SKYWARN programs. To do this MASA (pronounced MAY-sah) has established a long and strong working relationship with the NWS by providing on-going severe weather awareness and training to all interested parties. SKYWARN is a nation wide NWS program of volunteer “storm spotters” who are trained to Identify, Evaluate, and Report severe weather events.

Racine & Kenosha Counties ARES/RACES

Racine & Kenosha Counties ARES/RACES is a group of licensed amateur radio volunteers who have a sincere desire to serve the public. Members voluntarily register their qualifications and amateur radio equipment for communication duty when disaster strikes. They actively participate in community and statewide events that hone their radio skills and train them for activation in a real life emergency. Racine & Kenosha and the rest of Wisconsin ARES/RACES members with their amateur radios, provide a means of communication “when all else fails“.

Ozaukee ARES

Ozaukee ARES is Ozaukee County's ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) and RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service). ARES is sponsored by a private, nonprofit organization, the American Radio Relay League. RACES is sponsored by the U.S. Government Federal Emergency Management Agency, and administered by the Division of Emergency Management of the State of Wisconsin.

Washington County Wisconsin ARES/RACES

Washington County Wisconsin ARES/RACES is the Washington County ARES/RACES organization. Our membership trains to respond to disasters of all types when activated by the Washington County Emergency Coordinator or the Washington County Emergency Manager. Our members are located in all areas of Washington County, Wisconsin. We have members in West Bend, Germantown, Menomonee Falls, Jackson and Kewaskum.

The primary responsibility of Waukesha County ARES/RACES is to provide Waukesha County and the surrounding area with an effective emergency communications support system which functions as a part of the Waukesha County Emergency Operations Plan.
